We were founded in 2010. Cobble Creek Studios Art Academy is an atelier offering fine art classical training. The curriculum provides a well-rounded program of precision drawing from life, color theory, painting techniques, and art appreciation. The classes continue throughout the year; you can start anytime, and the students progress at their own pace. Children as young as five also learn the same principles at their level.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Children’s Classes
Ages 5 - 11
All students, even ages 5 - 11, study the rules of art. Linear Perspective, Placement, Proportion, Color Theory, and Art History are introduced through PowerPoint presentations and videos as they study the past and present master painters. Group classes for 5 - 11 are 2 hours, once a week. 2 hours $140/mo.
Ages 5 - 7 Saturdays 10 a - 12 p or 12 - 2 p.
Ages 8 - 11 Thursdays 6 - 8 p, Fridays 5:30 - 7:30 p and Saturdays 10 a - 12 p, 12 - 2 p.
Children Classes Ages
12 - 19
Time may be of the essence, but at CCSAA, we slow the world down. Creating takes time, and we wouldn’t want to rush their education. These projects can last as long as 2 to 3 months. Group classes for ages 12 - 19 are three hours, $170/month, once a week.
Thursdays 5:30 - 8:30; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 1 - 4 pm.
Homeschool Ages 12 - 19 are taught in Private Session
Private session classes are 2 hours, once a week, and are scheduled to fit with your schedule Wednesday through Friday. Individual private classes include the needs of the homeschooled student. $330/month
Creative Drawing & Painting Ages 12 - 14
Students age 12 - 14 will work on enjoyable projects routed in linear perspective, placement, and proportion. They will be introduced to character development, cartooning, and other concepts to increase their understanding of combining creative ideas and art traditions.

Character Design Class
Ages 14-19
Students will use foundational drawing techniques to understand the expression of the portrait and the figure. Proportions, anatomy, shape language, and visual storytelling techniques will be utilized to understand the narrative world of character design better. Students will learn to convey subjects through gestural practice and by studying the methods of character expression in modern and historical media. Any young artist who enjoys popular media and fandoms would find this class ideal for them.
Adults Drawing & Painting
Adult classes are taught in private sessions at a time convenient to your schedule. They are 2 hours, once a week, Tuesday - Friday. It won’t take long, and a whole new world has opened—$ 330/month. Classes are also available online.
Live Model Classes
Students study from the model and find a new way of understanding the anatomy. Life model classes are offered only to students already enrolled in our program.
